Covenant Christian Cougars (Conroe, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rosehill Christian Eagles (Tomball, TX), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Covenant Christian upgrades its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Holy Trinity Catholic (Temple, TX) to play the Celtics in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Celtics come into the bout with a record of 0-5. Holy Trinity Catholic lost 80-13 in their recent non-league bout against The Awty International (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Northland Christian Cougars (Houston, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 5 bout, on Friday, January 26. Rosehill Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record.
