The Dobie Longhorns (Houston, TX) basketball felled the host Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX), 55-47 in Friday's non-league test.

The Longhorns (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Channelview (Channelview, TX). The Falcons go into the 6A Region III District 22 test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Channelview went down by Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX), 49-36, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Paetow for a 6A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, January 2. Katy Taylor will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 50-41 non-league loss to Hutto (Hutto, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 12-8.
