St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Iberville Tigers (St. Gabriel, LA), 52-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. James upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Dutchtown (Geismar, LA) to play the Griffins in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Griffins come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Dutchtown won 48-39 in their recent non-league bout against White Castle (White Castle, LA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Brusly Panthers (Brusly, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. East Iberville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 14-0 record after their 60-57 non-league win over Archbishop Shaw (Marrero, LA).
