The Hondo Owls basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Navarro Panthers to 51 in the Owls non-league triumph on Friday.

The Owls now sport a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lytle for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Hondo will meet a Pirates team coming off a 69-42 non-league win over San Antonio Memorial (San Antonio, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 12-3.

The Panthers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bandera (Bandera, TX). The BULLDOGS enter the 4A Region IV District 27 contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Bandera was nudged by Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX), 49-46, in a non-league contest.
