    The Jones County Greyhounds tipped the host Houston County Bears basketball team by a final score of 63-62 in Friday's non-league game.

    In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Dutchtown Bulldogs (Hampton, GA) in a AAAAA Region 2 game, on Friday, January 5. Jones County will attempt to move on its 15-2 season record.

    With the defeat, Houston County moves to 7-6 on the year. The Bears travel to Perry (Perry, GA) to face the Panthers in a non-league game on Saturday, December 30. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 2-5. Perry lost 69-59 in their recent non-league game against Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA)
