North Carolina High School Basketball - Jackson Day can't hold off NorthPoint Christian Academy

The Jackson Day Mariners basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was nudged 53-46 in Friday's non-league battle with the host NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks (Waxhaw, NC)

The NightHawks now possess a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee Park Prep for a non-league battle on Friday, December 29. NorthPoint Christian Academy will battle a Knights team coming off a 82-34 league win over St. Anne Catholic (Rock Hill, SC). The Knights record now stands at 6-1.

The Mariners (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals come into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Corvian Community edged North Stanly (New London, NC), 71-55, in a non-league battle.
