The Mills University Studies Comets (Little Rock, AR) basketball felled the host Little Rock Southwest Gryphons (Little Rock, AR), 56-43 in Friday's non-league test.
The Comets (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Watson Chapel (Pine Bluff, AR). The Wildcats go into the 4A Region 8 test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Watson Chapel was beaten by Sylvan Hills (Sherwood, AR), 63-44, in a non-league test.
The Gryphons now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Russellville for a non-league test on Friday, December 29. Little Rock Southwest will encounter a Cyclones squad coming off a 70-21 non-league win over Heber Springs (Heber Springs, AR). The Cyclones record now stands at 13-1.
