Vermont High School Basketball - Mt. Mansfield can't hold off South Burlington

The South Burlington Wolves basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Mt. Mansfield Cougars to 53 in the Wolves league victory on Friday.
The Wolves now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. South Burlington will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 59-40 non-league loss to Winooski (Winooski, VT). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-6.
The Cougars (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Colchester (Colchester, VT). The Lakers come into the Metro contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Colchester edged Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT), 86-52, in a non-league contest.
