With the victory, Zephyr upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Evant (Evant, TX) to play the Elks in a 1A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Elks come into the bout with a record of 0-5. Evant lost 57-18 in their recent non-league bout against Iredell (Iredell, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Blanket Tigers (Blanket, TX) in a 1A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Sidney will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 61-21 league loss to Zephyr (Zephyr, TX).
