Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC), 65-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Swansboro upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Richlands (Richlands, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Coastal bout on Friday, January 12. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-7.

In their next game, the Vikings face the East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 3. White Oak will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Mariners enter the game with a 5-6 record after their 82-52 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC).
