Foothill Cougars (Palo Cedro, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Shasta Wolves (Redding, CA), 88-71 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Foothill upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Cougars host West Valley (Cottonwood, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-4. West Valley won 55-51 in their recent non-league bout against McKinleyville (McKinleyville, CA)

Next up, the Wolves play the Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 4. Shasta will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 9-3 record after their 52-18 non-league win over Corning (Corning, CA).
