Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Western Pioneers (Anaheim, CA) and the visiting Fullerton Indians (Fullerton, CA), saw Western's basketball squad hold off Fullerton by a count of 53-52.

With the victory, Western upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Valencia (Placentia, CA) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Valencia lost 58-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Beckman (Irvine, CA)

Next up, the Indians play the Buena Park Coyotes (Buena Park, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 19. Fullerton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
