Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN), 56-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Alexandria upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Mankato East (Mankato, MN) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 5-4.
Next up, the Tigers play the Minnetonka Skippers (Minnetonka, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Stewartville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Skippers come into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 85-24 non-league win over St. Louis Park (St. Louis Park, MN).
