In Friday's non-league outing, the Bernards Mountaineers (Bernardsville, NJ) basketball squad felled the visiting Brearley Bears (Kenilworth, NJ), by a margin of 43-26.

The Mountaineers (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against The Pingry School (Martinsville, NJ). The Big Blue go into the Skyland - Raritan outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, The Pingry School thwarted Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA), 56-32, in a non-league outing.

The Bears now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Roselle Catholic for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 4. Brearley will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 62-35 non-league win over Passaic (Passaic, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 6-3.
