Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Concord Pirates (Concord, AR), 70-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Vernon-Enola upgrades its record to 24-0 on the season. The Warhawks travel to South Side (Bee Branch, AR) to play the Hornet in a 2A Region 2 bout on Friday, January 5. The Hornet go into the bout with a record of 8-14. South Side won 54-25 in their recent non-league bout against Nemo Vista (Center Ridge, AR)

Next up, the Pirates play the Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Concord will attempt to upgrade on its 18-3 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 42-28 league win over Hillcrest (Strawberry, AR).
