Farmington Cardinals (Farmington, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mountain Home Bombers (Mountain Home, AR), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Farmington upgrades its record to 20-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Gravette (Gravette, AR) to play the Lions in a 4A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 5. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 13-5. Gravette lost 54-50 in their recent non-league bout against Bentonville (Bentonville, AR)

Next up, the Bombers play the Siloam Springs Panthers (Siloam Springs, AR) in a 5A West bout, on Friday, January 5. Mountain Home will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 53-10 non-league win over Life Way Christian (Centerton, AR).
