Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME), 26-13 in a league bout.

With the win, Fort Fairfield upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Southern Aroostook won 68-39 in their recent league bout against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Easton Bears (Easton, ME) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Madawaska will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
