The Somonauk/Leland Bobcats basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Hiawatha Hawks to 7 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bobcats now sport a 2-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Amboy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Somonauk/Leland will meet a Clippers team coming off a 43-35 non-league win over Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Clippers record now stands at 13-4.

The Hawks (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL). The Royals enter the Little Ten contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Hinckley-Big Rock triumphed over Flanagan/Woodland (Flanagan, IL), 40-26, in a non-league contest.
