In Friday's non-league outing, the Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Sherman Tide (Seth, WV), by a count of 55-30.

The Big Blacks (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Grace Christian (Huntington, WV). The go into the non-league outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Grace Christian was crushed by Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY), 76-35, in a non-league outing.

The Tide now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to River View for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 4. Sherman will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 53-34 non-league win over Tug Valley (Williamson, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 6-4.
