In Friday's league outing, the Sacopee Valley Hawks (Cornish, ME) basketball squad beat the visiting Poland Knights (Poland, ME), by a margin of 28-18.

The Hawks (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Traip (Kittery, ME). The Rangers go into the C South outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, Traip was beaten by Dirigo (Dixfield, ME), 27-22, in a league outing.

The Knights now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to North Yarmouth Academy for a C South outing on Tuesday, January 2. Poland will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 65-14 league win over Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 4-0.
