In Friday's league challenge, the Austin Prep Cougars (Reading, MA) ice hockey team nudged the visiting North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME), by a margin of 1-0.

The Cougars now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thayer Academy for a challenge on Friday, January 5. Austin Prep will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Hill School (Pottstown, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-2.

The Panthers (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Vermont Academy (Saxtons River, VT). The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Vermont Academy was edged by Hill School (Pottstown, PA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
