Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Olympian Eagles (Chula Vista, CA), 58-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Helix upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Steele Canyon won 46-4 in their recent non-league bout against Crawford (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Olympian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 17-9 non-league win over Montgomery (San Diego, CA).
