Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats (Anna, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL), 55-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Anna-Jonesboro upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Wildcats host Nashville (Nashville, IL) to play the Hornets in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi bout on Friday, December 9. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Nashville won 42-39 in their recent non-league bout against Triad (Troy, IL)

Next up, the Indians play the Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) in a Black Diamond - West bout, on Friday, December 9. Johnston City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
