Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX), 46-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Saltillo upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Region III District 24 bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Bloomburg lost 63-40 in their recent non-league bout against Avery (Avery, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Prairiland Patriots (Pattonville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Como-Pickton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 42-41 non-league win over Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX).
