Starks Panthers (Starks, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Deweyville Pirates (Deweyville, TX), 60-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Starks upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Panthers host Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Sam Houston won 65-60 in their recent non-league bout against DeRidder (DeRidder, LA)

Next up, the Pirates play the High Island Cardinals (High Island, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Deweyville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 54-33 non-league loss to Bob Hope (Port Arthur, TX).
