    The Lyon County Lyons basketball team (Eddyville, KY), was nudged 75-72 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY)

    The Royals now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bourbon County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 6.

    The Lyons (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Livingston Central (Smithland, KY). The Cardinals come into the District 5 battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Livingston Central edged Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY), 66-58, in a non-league battle.
