Illinois High School Basketball - Benet Academy can't hold off Hersey

December 3, 2022: Arlington Heights, IL 60004

The Hersey Huskies basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Benet Academy Redwings to 67 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Huskies now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palatine for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Hersey will battle a Pirates team coming off a 56-33 non-league win over Grant Community (Fox Lake, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 6-2.

The Redwings (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Spartans enter the East Suburban Catholic contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Marian Catholic was nudged by Batavia (Batavia, IL), 32-20, in a non-league contest.
