Cushing Bearkats (Cushing, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mt. Enterprise Wildcats (Mt. Enterprise, TX), 30-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cushing upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Bearkats travel to Slocum (Elkhart, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Slocum lost 40-22 in their recent non-league bout against Neches (Neches, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Carlisle Indians (Price, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, December 30. Mt. Enterprise will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
