In Saturday's non-league outing, the Evant Elks (Evant, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Morgan Eagles (Morgan, TX), by a margin of 54-27.
The Elks (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Cherokee (Cherokee, TX). The Indians go into the 1A Region III District 17 outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Cherokee was trounced by Cross Plains (Cross Plains, TX), 80-41, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Meridian for a 1A Region III District 20 outing on Friday, December 16.
