Floyd Central Jaguars (Eastern, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY), 40-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Floyd Central upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign.

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Johnson Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 60-53 non-league loss to Floyd Central (Eastern, KY).
