Virginia High School Basketball - Liberty fells Staunton River

Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 60-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Minutemen host Temple Christian (Madison Heights, VA) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Temple Christian won 35-30 in their recent non-league bout against Fresta Valley Christian (Marshall, VA)

Next up, the Golden Eagles clash with the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Staunton River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
