Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots (San Diego, CA), 53-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monte Vista upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA) to clash with the White Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The White Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Escondido Charter lost 56-49 in their recent non-league bout against Temecula Valley (Temecula, CA)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Crawford Colts (San Diego, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Patrick Henry will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record.
