Austin Prep Cougars (Reading, MA) fans left the game thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the visiting Hoosac Owls (Hoosick, NY), 5-1 in a non-league match.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Mounties enter the non-league match with a 0-0 record.

Next up, the Owls encounter the Hebron Academy Lumberjacks (Hebron, ME) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, December 4. Hoosac will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to Kent School (Kent, CT).
