Whitney Wildcats (Rocklin, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Capital Christian Cougars (Sacramento, CA), 72-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Whitney upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Roseville (Roseville, CA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-0. Roseville won 78-68 in their recent non-league bout against Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Folsom Bulldogs (Folsom, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 7. Capital Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 69-60 non-league win over Sheldon (Sacramento, CA).
