The Franklin Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Hayesville Yellowjackets to 29 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherokee for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Franklin will battle a Braves team coming off a 61-19 non-league loss to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Braves record now stands at 0-2.
The Yellowjackets (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Highlanders enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.
