In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Belleville East Lancers basketball team scored a close 45-43 triumph over the Highland Bulldogs.
The Lancers (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL). The Kahoks go into the Southwestern contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Collinsville nipped Rochester (Rochester, IL), 68-46, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Mascoutah Indians (Mascoutah, IL) in a Mississippi Valley contest, on Friday, December 6. Highland will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 57-42 non-league win over Granite City (Granite City, IL).
