The Izard County Cougars basketball team scored 69 points and limited the visiting Marshall Bobcats to 48 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Subiaco Academy for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Izard County will confront a Trojans team coming off a 58-27 league win over Paris (Paris, AR). The Trojans record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Marshall falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Mammoth Spring (Mammoth Spring, AR) to confront the Bears in a 2A Region 2 game on Friday, December 6. The Bears go into the game with a record of 6-6. Mammoth Spring won 55-48 in their recent league game against Cotter (Cotter, AR)
