Next, the Cougars clash with the Philadelphia Tornadoes (Philadelphia, MS) in a non-league test, on Thursday, December 5. Newton County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Tornadoes come into the test with a 4-4 record after their 45-44 non-league win over East Webster (Maben, MS).

The Wildcats (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Bay Springs bounced Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS), 72-14, in a non-league test.
