Virginia High School Basketball - Halifax County sneaks past Dan River

December 3, 2024: Ringgold, VA 24586

The Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) basketball edged the host Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA), 45-41 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Comets now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Person for a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 4. Halifax County will play a Rockets team coming off a 45-30 non-league loss to South Granville (Creedmoor, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Dan River falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 6. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Tunstall won 47-39 in their recent non-league bout against Rustburg (Rustburg, VA)
