Fort Payne Wildcats (Fort Payne, AL) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Scottsboro Wildcats (Scottsboro, AL), 52-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Fort Payne advances its record to 6-1 on the year. The Wildcats host Etowah (Attalla, AL) to meet the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Thursday, December 5. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 3-4.

The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Fairview (Cullman, AL). The Aggies come into the 5A Area 14 test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Fairview held off Hanceville (Hanceville, AL), 69-40, in a non-league test.
