The Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR) basketball were winner over the visiting Marshall Bobcats (Marshall, AR), 56-46 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sloan-Hendrix for a 2A Region 2 outing on Friday, December 13.
The Bobcats (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Jasper (Jasper, AR). The Pirates come into the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Jasper was defeated by Mountain View (Mountain View, AR), 66-65, in a non-league outing.
