In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Kemper County Wildcats basketball team scored a good 42-30 triumph over the Newton County Cougars.
The Wildcats (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Newton (Newton, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Newton was knocked off by Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS), 39-25, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Philadelphia Tornadoes (Philadelphia, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 5. Newton County will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 41-31 non-league loss to East Webster (Maben, MS).
