Ohio High School Basketball - Newark Catholic nips Utica

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Newark Catholic Green Wave basketball team scored a close 50-47 triumph over the Utica Redskins.

The Green Wave (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Johnstown-Monroe (Johnstown, OH). The Johnnies go into the Licking County - Cardinal contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Johnstown-Monroe nipped Lakewood (Hebron, OH), 55-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Redskins battle the Heath Bulldogs (Heath, OH) in a Licking County - Cardinal contest, on Friday, December 6. Utica will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 39-38 league win over Northridge (Johnstown, OH).
