The Somerset Spartans basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Prescott Cardinals to 41 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Baldwin-Woodville for a Middle Border game on Tuesday, December 10. Somerset will confront a Blackhawks team coming off a 54-48 non-league loss to Menomonie (Menomonie, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Prescott falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to McDonell Central (Chippewa Falls, WI) to confront the Macks in a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. The Macks go into the game with a record of 2-1. McDonell Central won 42-39 in their recent league game against Regis (Eau Claire, WI)
