North Carolina High School Basketball - Smoky Mountain can't get by Cherokee

Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), 52-47 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Cherokee advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Braves travel to Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league match on Friday, December 6. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 1-1.

The Mustangs now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Swain County for a non-league match on Thursday, December 5.
