4:18 Game Recap: Avery County @ Ashe County Boys Varsity Basketball

North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County beaten by Avery County

The Avery County Vikings were victorious over the host Ashe County Huskies basketball squad by a final score of 75-60 in Wednesday's non-league game.

The Vikings now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Smoky Mountain for a non-league game on Friday, December 5. Avery County will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 92-60 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Ashe County falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Huskies host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 10. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 2-3. Alexander Central lost 62-59 in their recent non-league game against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC)
