Ohio High School Basketball - Independence defeats West

December 3, 2025: Columbus, OH 43204

The Independence 76ers (Columbus, OH) basketball were winner over the host West Cowboys (Columbus, OH), 69-52 in Wednesday's league bout.

The 76ers now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Hartley for a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 3. Independence will play a Hawks team coming off a 66-22 non-league win over Eastmoor Academy (Columbus, OH). The Hawks record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, West moves to 2-1 on the season. The Cowboys travel to South (Columbus, OH) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Columbus City - South test on Friday, December 5. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 0-2. South lost 56-13 in their recent league test against Briggs (Columbus, OH)
