Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Haverford Fords (Havertown, PA) and the host Abington Galloping Ghosts (Abington, PA), saw Haverford's basketball squad knock off Abington by a count of 51-31.

With the victory, Haverford upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Fords travel to Strath Haven (Wallingford, PA) to play the Panthers in a Central challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Strath Haven lost 52-42 in their recent league challenge against Springfield (Springfield, PA)

Next up, the Galloping Ghosts play the Upper Moreland Bears (Willow Grove, PA) in a Suburban One - American challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Abington will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 61-56 non-league win over Samuel Fels (Philadelphia, PA).
