North Carolina High School Basketball - West Wilkes winner over Alleghany

In Friday's non-league outing, the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), by a margin of 65-52.

The Blackhawks (5-8) will now prepare for their outing against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies go into the non-league outing with a 5-7 record. In their last outing, Ashe County was beaten by Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC), 59-57, in a non-league outing.

The Trojans now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Surry Central for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 3. Alleghany will clash with a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 88-38 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 9-1.
