Baldwin Bears (Wailuku, HI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host King Kekaulike Na Ali'i (Pukalani, HI), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Baldwin upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Lahainaluna (Lahaina, HI) to play the Lunas in a Maui I bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Lunas come into the bout with a record of 3-3.

Next up, the Na Ali'i play the Kamehameha Maui Warriors (Pukalani, HI) in a Maui I bout, on Tuesday, January 3. King Kekaulike will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 53-36 league win over Maui (Kahului, HI).
